Pathways

Starting in Fall 2024, the YU MBA Pathways program allows undergraduate students to receive an offer of admission today 鈥 that is, deferred by one year until they gain the required work experience.

If admitted, with a refundable deposit, you will be able to freeze your tuition at the current rate for up to one year. For example, Spring 2024 graduates could begin their MBA studies in Fall 2025 while paying the Spring 2024 tuition rates.

Eligibility Requirements 

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 and the following requirements: 
  • Completed online application. 
  • $50 application fee (waivable by the university; connect with an Admissions Advisor for more information). 
  • Official undergraduate and/or graduate transcripts from any colleges or universities you have attended. Unofficial transcripts can be submitted via the online application to start the review process. If you are admitted, official transcripts provided from past academic institutions must be submitted prior to registration. 
  • Two professional or academic recommendations, or one professional or academic recommendation and one personal statement 

Through the B.A./M.S. in Finance, YU undergraduates can complete up to two graduate Finance courses (6 credits) in summer after your junior year and/or senior year that count towards both your undergraduate and graduate degrees, accelerating your path to the Master's degree. After completing the bachelor鈥檚, students can complete the M.S. in Finance at YU鈥檚 Sy Syms School of Business in as little as one more year.

Discount for YU undergrads: Apply to the master鈥檚 during your junior or senior year, and you鈥檒l be eligible for heavily discounted tuition rate, regardless of the number of graduate credits you take as an undergrad. Learn more about Finance.

The MBA Pathways program opens doors to leadership positions, career mobility, and higher earning potential. As a Pathways student, you can take up to two MBA courses that count for both undergraduate and graduate credit鈥攁t no additional tuition cost. That means you鈥檒l save time, save money, and step confidently into your future as a business leader.

     FIN 5745 Financial Reporting and Analysis

The M.S. in Finance at 515直播's AACSB-accredited Sy Syms School of Business is for students interested in the financial industry, in other areas of business that require a finance focus, or as the next step en route to a Ph.D. in Finance. Students will also be prepared to take the CFA exam.

JD-MBA Overview

Professional success today requires more than just expertise in one field. It demands a diverse skill set, a comprehensive understanding of business dynamics, and legal acumen. Our comprehensive dual degree program will provide you with the knowledge, skills and legal expertise of a law degree plus the expertise in management, and marketing derived from an MBA. Equipped with this diverse skill set, our graduates emerge as versatile professionals with the legal and business leadership skills ready to succeed at the highest levels.

Program Requirements

Candidates for the joint degree program must apply to and be admitted by each school separately. Admission to one school does not guarantee admission to the other, although it may be a factor in strengthening the application.

Admission to the JD-MBA program will be open only to current Cardozo Students. Interested students can apply for the dual degree program and admission to Syms after their 1L year and at any time until the end of their 3L fall semester. Cardozo students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.100 to apply.

Major course requirements:  
Course requirements for the JD program will remain the same as the standard JD program. 12 credits in select JD classes will be transferable to the MBA program. To complete their JD degree, students must complete 84 credits and take the entire first-year curriculum, Professional Responsibility, and satisfy Cardozo鈥檚 core course, race and the law, writing credit, skills credits, and ALR requirements.
